![]() Eric Westbrook is a professional artist living and working in Washington, DC. He studied fine art and design at the University of Maryland, College Park, and obtained a bachelor's degree in graphic communications. His illustrations have been commissioned and published by magazine, corporate, and government clients nationwide and internationally. Clients include Apple, National Public Radio, Standard & Poor's, Ernst & Young, the White House, Habitat for Humanity, and the Washington Opera. Eric's illustrations are acrylic on canvas, and feature a textural brushstroke technique ideally suited to conceptual, informative, and thought-provoking assignments. Work is regularly awarded inclusion in juried shows of the Illustrators Club of Washington. "Genesis Ram" was awarded entry in the Society of Illustrators 43rd annual show in New York, and appears in the book "Illustrators 43". Stock images are available at www.images.com Eric's fine art paintings have been shown in solo and group shows in and around the Washington, DC. Recent gallery exhibitions have been held at Dumbarton Concert Gallery, and the Arts Club of Washington. Paintings are held in private collections as well as in the permanent collection of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. In addition to painting the urban landscape, Eric is currently working on a portrait and figure series. |
